| Going away present wishing good luck on their travels
Since the Edo period of Japanese history from c.1600, pilgrimages honoring the seven lucky gods of Japanese folklore have been a popular way of assuring one’s luck. The pilgrim embarks on a tour of temples, collecting stamps or tokens symbolizing each of the gods along the way. In Tokyo alone, there are 24 such routes - a popular 'gap year' destination for students.
Do you know someone who could benefit from some special luck on their journey/ travels?

Tokens or other talismans are a popular way of ensuring good luck on your travels all over the world. On the Camino de Santiago - the route the old pilgrims of Europe took in the Middle Ages to the great Catholic cathedral of Santiago in northern Spain, they took stones (as now) for good fortune along the way which they would then deliver at the end of their journey.

There is a superstitious saying that predicts bad luck if you travel when your path is crossed by a monk, a hare or a howling dog . . until you have eaten your next meal. And it is supposed to be bad luck to turn around and go back after starting out on your journey. The evil spell may be broken, however, by making a cross on the ground and spitting on it. An old saying (particularly prevalent amongst sailors and shepherds) is:
Red clouds at night, A traveler's delight; Red clouds in the morning, A traveler's warning.

The Indalo shape
(whether it be classical like Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man, or
spiritual as in the Rainbow Warrior of the ancient North American Indian
Cree tribe), is a popular symbol (like the clover leaf, horseshoe, or
scarab) used to pass on good luck sentiments to friends and family.
Our lucky charm-stones come from Almeria in southern Spain close to where the original Indalos were discovered. This is a region of ancient culture believed to be the origin of the Neolithic civilisation that spread up into the whole of northern Europe between 4000 and 2000 BC - and the beginning of a megalithic era that was one of the great periods of Spanish and European history and included the construction of the mystical monuments of Stonehenge and Avebury in Britain. Cave paintings of Indalo-type shapes mingle with representations of suns, spirals, animals and labyrinths, each with their own mystical and esoteric meaning.
Pass on your good luck sentiments to friends or loved ones . . TODAY!
The Indalo is reputed to have mystical powers to bring luck, good fortune and happiness. So . .
* FOR THOSE THAT SEEK happiness, prosperity, friendship, protection, and good health . . * FOR THOSE WHO WANT more luck, love, confidence, success, and achievement . . * FOR THOSE WHO want their dreams to come true . .

Each lucky charm stone on this site is hand-painted and so although the colour, size, etc, can vary a bit from the photos shown here, it is used as a recognised but unique way to express goodwill wishes and desires. The gift of an Indalo is perfect . . saying Good Luck, Congratulations, Best Wishes, With Love, or Thinking of You . . in its own special way.
