| Lucky Indalos can say "Good Luck in your new job"
On the first Monday of the year in the British Isles, gifts used to be given to servants and children. These gifts, called Handsels, were considered tokens of luck or good wishes for the coming year. By the year 1200, according to Merriam Webster, the word "handsel" was used for any good luck charm, especially one given at the start of a new job or any new condition.

As any person starting a new venture or new job for the first time will tell you, it is at least helpful to receive some spiritual or ethereal assistance on your first day - to calm the nerves if nothing else. Yellow, the lucky colour of Geminis, is thought to have a happy effect on its wearer, as well as stimulating the intellect and bringing vitality. It is also believed to signify the colour of money rather than of love and is believed to be the favored colour to wear when beginning a new job.

The roots of the plant Viburnum (or Devil's shoestrings) - are used in spell and charm making to bring good luck in a new venture or at a new beginning (for example, after a separation or divorce) and offer protection against evil (as well as inducing invisibility).

We also have hand-crafted lucky charm-stones which come from Almeria in southern Spain close to where the original Indalos were discovered. This is a region of ancient culture believed to be the origin of the Neolithic civilisation that spread up into the whole of northern Europe between 4000 and 2000 BC - and the beginning of a megalithic era that was one of the great periods of Spanish and European history and included the construction of the mystical monuments of Stonehenge and Avebury in Britain. Cave paintings of Indalo-type shapes mingle with representations of suns, spirals, animals and labyrinths, each with their own mystical and esoteric meaning.
