| Anniversaries are occasions to remember certain events.

In medieval times, only major anniversaries like the 25th and 50th were celebrated. To mark the occasion of the 25th wedding anniversary, a husband would crown his wife with a wreath of silver - hence the term Silver Wedding anniversary. Likewise, on the 50th wedding anniversary he presented a wreath of gold . . the Golden Wedding anniversary. So certain anniversaries have become associated with certain luck-bringing gifts directly related to the number of years celebrated or commemorated. The 60th wedding anniversary became associated with diamonds as Queen Victoria of England celebrated her Diamond Jubilee on the 60th anniversary of her accession to the throne in 1897 - despite the fact that diamond had already been nominated as the stone best associated with the 75th anniversary and was in fact the original Diamond Anniversary.

Over the years, more wedding anniversaries were added - starting with the 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th, and culminating in a general celebration so that nowadays, every year, people give presents as a means of passing on good wishes to a couple, or a token of love between couples. Likewise with any other (non-wedding) anniversary - gifts are given to pass on goodwill sentiments for a wide range of annually celebrated events.

The Indalo shape

This is a region of ancient culture believed to be the origin of the Neolithic civilisation that spread up into the whole of northern Europe between 4000 and 2000 BC - and the beginning of a megalithic era that was one of the great periods of Spanish and European history and included the construction of the mystical monuments of Stonehenge and Avebury in Britain. Cave paintings of Indalo-type shapes mingle with representations of suns, spirals, animals and labyrinths, each with their own mystical and esoteric meaning.
